A. When the cancellation is submitted to the property no later than 14 days before the agreement’s start date: -
1. Bond paid will be refunded back to the applicant.
2. Residential Tenancy Agreement will be terminated.
B. When the cancellation is submitted to the property 13 days or fewer before the agreement’s start date: -
1. An administrative fee of AU$250 will be charged to the applicant
2. The applicant will be responsible for paying rent for the room stated in the tenancy agreement until an approved replacement takes over the tenancy.
3. Any outstanding charges incurred (Eg. administrative fees, rent etc..) will be deducted from the bond paid. Any remaining bond amount will be refunded back to the applicant.
4. Residential Tenancy Agreement will be terminated upon replacement tenant paying the holding deposit and bond and signs the tenancy agreement.
Please note:
1. In both the cases, the holding deposit fee will be forfeited.
2. Also, the above cancellation policy does not apply to replacement tenants taking over a tenancy agreement from a current tenant.
