About the neighborhood
This furnished apartment is located in Mitte, Berlin’s first and most central district. The area is incredibly rich in history, with many of the city’s museums and attractions located within the district. Bustling Mitte is one of the city’s major business districts and has a diverse restaurant scene with options at every price point. Head to an upscale restaurant like Schnitzelei Mitte or head to the popular Hackescher Markt, a labyrinthine series of courtyards with cafés and shops. Mitte is also a great place to visit: the Brandenburg Gate and Museum Island are located in this district. Other attractions include the famous Checkpoint Charlie, Tiergarten Park and Berlin Zoo. There’s also the historic Tiergarten, one of Germany’s largest public parks and a great place to get a dose of nature. Another area of interest is Moabit, which used to be an important border between East and West Berlin.
