If we cannot offer you a room, we will notify you within five working days of receiving your application. No payment will be due to us.
If we offer you a room but you do not accept the terms and conditions online, your application will lapse after five working days or three working days during our peak selling period (July-September).
If you accept an offer of accommodation online or by signing a tenancy agreement, and later decide to cancel this agreement, we will accept the cancellation if:
● You cancel your application within 14 days of our confirmation that your booking is complete (the Initial Cancellation Period) – note that this is reduced to 7 days from August 1st due to the proximity of check-in.
● You accept cancellation outside of the Initial Cancellation Period. In this case you are liable for the weekly rent (for each and every week or part week) until you find another acceptable tenant, and we are able to re-let the room.
● If you accept an offer of accommodation online or by signing a Tenancy Agreement and collect the keys before choosing to cancel, we will accept your cancellation on the following terms:
○ You find another tenant for the room who is acceptable to Future Generation (it is your responsibility to find another tenant).
○ You remain liable for the weekly rent (for each and every week or part week) until the room is re-let to an acceptable tenant.
If the room is re-let, there will be a charge of £50 for administration.
If you accept and stay in the accommodation throughout the whole tenancy period we reserve the right to add charges to your final balance for any damages or arrears occurred. If there are no charges or arrears at the end of the tenancy your contract will be finalised and released.
